Job Purpose

We are looking for a Quality engineer, at site for large fabrication, in projects, who can join our team in Kongsberg, Norway. The position is responsible, at site representing the quality function for projects, for monitoring the daily production, witnessing formal witness (W) and hold (H) activities, also when Customer is attending, progressive review and progress of the manufacturing records and the control of TechnipFMC delivered items at site (often called TechnipFMC provided items). At site the Quality engineer works closely with the TechnipFMC Site Manager (and other TechnipFMC resources present, the Supplier and the Customer. The Quality engineer also represents the Quality function of the project, reporting to the Project Quality manager. This job is formally located at Kongsberg, but all scope of work is executed at sites where large fabrication is performed. Today such work is performed in Norway (Skien, Tønsberg, Sandnessjøen, Grimstad) and Spain.

Job Description

Role and responsibilities:

  • Ensure in setting and maintaining high quality standards as part of TechnipFMC Site team at the external fabricator for large fabrication (template and manifold scope)
  • Ensure TechnipFMC and Customer requirements are met.
  • Ensure prevention of defects in manufactured products, from design to delivery.
  • Authority to sign off Certificate of Compliance (CofC), Source Inspection Release Form (SIRF), Equipment Conformance and Release Note (ECRN) and Mechanical Completion record (MCR) as part of final delivery and handover to Project and Customer.
  • Reporting of non-conformances to quality requirements.
  • Monitor daily production.
  • Witness formal activities as notified according to Inspection and test plan (ITP).
  • Responsible for performing receiving inspection of free issued items to fabricator, from TechnipFMC.
  • Progressively review and follow up of fabrication records, monitor the fabricator in the progress.
  • Weekly reporting to Project, when required.

You are meant for this job if you:

  • Have good communication skills and presentation skills, effective collaboration in the project team, including with Customers and Suppliers is a key to success
  • BS in engineering/technical or equivalent recognition in a technical or quality field, is required
  • Have a certificate or competency related to welding, non-destructive examination, and surface treatment.
  • Have knowledge of TechnipFMC products, also for template/manifold fabrication.
  • If You have minimum 6 years of relevant work experience, You may be considered as a Senior Quality engineer
  • English language oral and written is a requirement, Norwegian language is an advantage
  • You must have a valid driver certificate (Norway) and dispose your own car (for Norway)
