Job Purpose

The purpose of product planning is to foresee or predict as many dangers and problems as possible; and to plan, organize and control activities so that the project is completed as successfully as possible despite of all the risks. The primary use of the product plan is to document planning assumptions and decisions, facilitate communication among project stakeholders and document approved scope.

Job Description

  • Establish product plans in small or medium size projects for the execution of the work covering engineering, suppliers lead times, overall schedule, manpower and progress, in accordance with Contract requirements and TechnipFMC standard planning methods.
  • Support the engineering organization to establish and maintain dates in Open text.
  • Consolidates and analyze information from Project Planner, Project Engineering, Product Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing/Sub-Suppliers, to establish the Product Project Schedule for assigned project need dates
  • Ensure that TechnipFMC plans are updated on a regular basis based on input from the project organisation.Monitor progress, schedule and manpower to ensure that we deliver according to contract delivery date. If needed initiate actions to ensure that we deliver on time.
  • Give direction to other functions within organization (engineering, project, procurement teams, etc.) on proper execution of sales orders and engineering activities.Follow up documentation within the workpage in dialog with the project organization and sub suppliers.
  • Ensures that the product status is effectively communicated to the Product Delivery Manager, Lead Engineer and Project Planner.Follow up sub-contractors planning and progress reporting.

You are meant for this job if you have:

  • Bachelor or Master degree (or equivalent) in one or more of the following disciplines: Engineering, Business Administration or  Project Control - work experience can compensate for lack of formal competency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to present data and fact in a clear and consistent manner.
  • Capable of leading internal meetings regarding schedule
  • Strong computer proficiency with applicable software such as MS Project, Opentext, Scale, SAP/GEOS
  • Familiar with compliance, regulatory and technical risks and the mitigation of those risks.
  • Recognize the impact of variances to scope wrt. cost and duration.
