Job Purpose:

The purpose of project planning is to foresee or predict as many dangers and problems as possible; and to plan, organize and control activities so that the project is completed as successfully as possible in spite of all the risks. The project plan is a formal, approved document used to guide both project execution and project control. The primary uses of the project plan are to document planning assumptions and decisions, facilitate communication among project stakeholders, and document approved scope, cost, and schedule baselines.

Job Description:

  • Establish project plans in small or medium size size projects for the execution of the work covering schedule, manpower and progress, in accordance with Contract requirements and TechnipFMC standard planning methods.
  • Monitor progress, schedule, manpower and cost against baseline plan and current plan. Prepare and maintain forecast schedule and initiate actions when this schedule deviates from Current plan.
  • Execute Baseline revisions.
  • Prepare or give input to overall revenue, cost plan and invoicing.
  • Review preparation of the Master Equipment List (project BOM), and as well as preparing and maintaining the sales order, if applicable.
  • Supervise preparation of detailed plans in projects.
  • Review and participate in preparation of Variation Order Requests, and implement approved Variation Orders with regards to schedule, manpower- and cost plans.
  • Prepare or provide input to internal and external project reports.
  • Follow up sub-contractors planning and progress reporting.
  • Liaison with Client project control personnel.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor or Master degree (or equivalent) in one or more of the following disciplines: Engineering, Business Administration, Project Control. Work experience can compensate for lack of formal competency.
  • Experience as a Project Planner is an advantage, but new graduates are very welcome to apply. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment is important.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and coaching, and respond appropriately.
  • Proficiently communicate ideas and concepts developing the ability to persuade and influence others as needed. 
  • Able to present data and fact in a clear and consistent manner.
  • Understanding and communicating within diverse cultural environment.
  • Ability to cooperate and communicate with external customers.
  • Capable of leading internal meetings regarding schedule.
