Job Purpose
Product Engineer RLWI implements technical solutions within assigned discipline and subject matter areas during studies, tenders, projects and new product developments in accordance with the organisation’s agreed technical and commercial strategy, with a continuous focus on quality, commercial and safety awareness, on‑time and on‑budget delivery and customer satisfaction.
Job Description
- Responsible for product engineering of relevant RLWI Stacks according to design specifications and engineering standards.
- Ensure engineering processes are followed according to BPMS. Responsible for following internal standards, industry standards, GPS and design‑for‑fabrication principles.
- Responsible for the budgeted hours related to engineering performance and own engineering deliverables.
- Responsible for coordinating designers within RLWI, including remotely operating teams; mentoring and coaching designers and new hires.
- Responsible for product documentation required for procurement, fabrication and operations.
- Responsible for development, maintenance and continuous improvement of offshore operational procedures for RLWI Stack systems, ensuring alignment between design intent, risk assessments and offshore execution.
Main Accountabilities
- Convert technical requirements into product design in all stages from tender/FEED to execution. Support engineers when required.
- Revise, create, review and approve ECNs, ensuring engineering processes are followed.
- Identify and analyze risks associated with all engineering tasks.
- Support other engineering teams: task distribution, follow‑up, quality assurance.
- Author, review and maintain offshore operational procedures, translating engineering analyses, HAZID/HAZOP outcomes and design decisions into clear and usable offshore instructions.
- Provide engineering support to RLWI offshore operations, including operational readiness, troubleshooting and incorporation of lessons learned into procedures and designs.
- Support technical governance related to operational procedures, including deviations, NCRs and Management of Change where applicable.

You are meant for this job if:
Knowledge/formal education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (Petroleum/Subsea/Marine/Mechanical as relevant) with 2- 4 years of experience.
- Strong technical basis in engineering.
- Work experience can compensate for lack of formal competency.
Required experience:
- Product design and Product lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with vessel operations and offshore equipment is preferred.
- Experience with subsea systems is preferred.
Required certificates:
- Willingness to obtain offshore certificate.
