Job Purpose

To be successful in the position as HSE Advisor, it is important that you enjoy working systematically in a hectic and exciting environment.  How many years of experience you have is not a key factor. Its more important for us that you are pro- active, curious, dedicated and passionate about HSE.

Job Description

  • Perform HSE leadership through leading and advising on HSE activities at site - Operational areas (Assembly & Test/ MMR/ Labs) and Office environment
  • Lead Site Green team (Support Company and site ESG Roadmap)
  • Contribute to continuous improvements of TFMC HSE Management System and operating procedures.
  • Drive the implementation of the Global TFMC HSE standards and initiatives in the workplace(s)
  • Support and advise Manufacturing -, Test -, Lab Mgt and Operators on HSE in day to day operations
  • Support and advise Manufacturing, -Test -, Lab Mgt in establishing and updating Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Job Analysis (JSA)
  • Together with Mgt and Safety Delegates, conduct regular inspections in Operational and Office areas.
  • Record and follow up HSE Incidents (Accidents and Near Miss) and Hazard Observations
  • Lead and support investigations (SIF follow up – One pagers/SIF review / SIF Calls / RCA)
  • Advise Engineering on HSE matters ( Design reviews/Safety Reviews/Product HAZIDs)
  • Prepare and deliver HSE induction and other relevant training to employees, subcontractors, interns.
  • Lead Site Green Team and represent Kongsberg Site into Norway Green Team
  • Responsible for local entity Environmental data reporting (Update KPIs and follow up of actions)
  • Support HSE external audits and inspections performed by Clients and 3rd parties, such as local authorities, and certification body.
  • Drive the implementation of the Global HSE standards and initiatives in the workplace(s)

You are meant for this job if you have:

  • Higher level eduacation, preferably within HSE and / or Technical
  • Experience from working with other industry with high requirements to HSE and experienced with Risk Management/Assessment and knowledge of RCA methodologies
  • Good verbal and written English and verbal Norwegian.
  • Good communications skills and are comfortable with presenting in front of large and small groups 
  • Influential and persuasive regarding HSE issues and are pro-active, delegates and empower others, building accountability for achieving their goals
  • Demonstrates personal accountability by taking responsibility for both successes and mistakes
  • Displays a high degree of self-awareness and willingness to change as a result of feedback
