Job Purpose

We are looking for a Chief Engineer to join the Flow Assurance organization at TechnipFMC. In this role you will act as the global technical authority for flow assurance, driving the development of discipline standards, technologies, and engineering methodologies across TechnipFMC's subsea portfolio. You will collaborate with a global network of experts and provide technical leadership to complex tenders, studies, technology development initiatives, and EPC projects worldwide.

Job Description

  • Define and drive Flow Assurance strategies for studies, tenders, technology development programs, and project execution.
  • Provide technical leadership and expert guidance on Flow Assurance challenges across the full project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain Flow Assurance standards, methodologies, best practices, and engineering tools.
  • Lead strategic initiatives focused on innovation, process optimization, and technology development.
  • Support risk identification, assessment, and mitigation related to Flow Assurance and production system performance.
  • Mentor engineers and Subject Matter Experts, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing across the global organization.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, R&D centers, manufacturing sites, and project support functions.
  • Represent TechnipFMC in technical discussions with customers, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Review and approve key engineering deliverables, design bases, and technical recommendations.
  • Promote continuous improvement through Lessons Learned activities and engineering excellence programs.

You are meant for this job if:

  • MSc or PhD degree within Flow Assurance, Multiphase Flow, Petroleum Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Flow Assurance, subsea engineering, and/or technology development activities.
  • Strong knowledge of subsea production systems and products, flow assurance principles, and hydrocarbons transport from reservoir to processing facilities.
  • Proven experience supporting complex subsea projects across studies, FEED, tenders, EPC, installation, and operational phases.
  • Experience in technology qualification, R&D activities, and development of engineering methodologies.
  • Familiarity with digitalization, automation, data analytics, or advanced simulation techniques supporting flow assurance activities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in developing and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
  • Experience working in global and multicultural organizations.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
