Job Purpose

Responsible for Global consolidation of Resource Planning during all different phase of the work, including Long Term (S&OP, Budget, Master Scheduling), Tendering and Execution Planning

To ensure the effective planning and scheduling of VSO engineering resources in support of TechnipFMC’s projects. Resource planning includes sequencing activities, capturing progress, identifying risks, working with stakeholders for mitigations, escalate problems, report out, control delivery metrics, participate on obeyas and meetings. 

Job Description

•    Create, control and update the schedules for scenarios, long term, tenders and execution and interconnecting schedule information between assets with engineering and with project schedules keeping alignment between VSO and Project activities by participating on meetings for discussions and decisions. Escalating and providing visibility for the stakeholders.
•    Participate on Project Schedule baseline with the engineering portion
•    Sequence activities in order to balance demand and capacity and identify need of resources to support Project milestones and execution milestones without impacting execution Schedule.
•    Consolidate and review S&OP information connecting with management system
•    Monitor changes and proactively update schedules based on the latest project and operational information.
•    Build and connect competency and training requirement to the activity required
•    Create, maintain, and simulate planning scenarios across all phases of work, including Long-Term Planning (S&OP, Budget, Master Scheduling), Tendering, and Execution.
•    Ensure integration between asset and project schedules, maintaining alignment between VSO (Vessel Scheduling & Operations) and Project activities. Participate in meetings for discussions and decisions, escalate issues, and provide visibility to stakeholders through the management system.
•    Develop, align, report and control KPI´s related to delivery metrics to different purposes including but not limited to weekly and monthly reports, project reports, Financial reports and Planning reports.
•    Ensure compliance with internal planning standards and reporting requirements.
•    Maintain continuous communication with stakeholders from both Projects and VSO regarding engineering activities
•    Attend meetings, issue Minutes of Meeting (MoM), and follow up on action items.
•    Develop ad-hoc scenario schedules to support business case preparation that can be connected with MoC or not.
•    Plan scope by sequencing activities, tracking progress, identifying risks, working with stakeholders on mitigation plans, escalating issues, reporting, controlling delivery metrics, and participating in Obeya and other meetings.
•    Support the development of tools and processes to monitor asset activity and facilitate decision-making for resource allocation. 
•    Contribute to cross-functional process improvement initiatives to enhance execution efficiency.
•    Strengthen the global VSO Planning community: build competencies, share best practices, foster collaboration, participate on Networks and promote knowledge exchange across teams driving the organization to an SSI environment.
•    Identify and/or contribute to global planning improvement initiatives aligned with the overall VSO and TechnipFMC strategy, with a focus on Lean methodology.
•    Promote the effective and diverse use of systems to simplify execution and increase operational visibility.
•    Participate on Asset Allocation Process to evaluate resources for asset selection and control changes to minimize risks to execution through MoC process.

You are meant for this job if:

Qualifications (professional, technical, academic)
•    Bachelor degree in Engineering, Administration, Supply Chain or related areas or equivalent experience in a technical or science based subject.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge
•    A working knowledge of offshore vessels or manufacturing
•    Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in Project execution
•    Demonstrated ability to analyze trends or deviations from standards and recommend creative and unique cross functional solutions
•    Demonstrates an understanding of the communication process and ensures effectiveness (written, verbal and listening) across functional boundaries.
•    Prepares and delivers somewhat simple proposals and reports to planning audience.
•    Ability to work under pressure in a matrixed environment. 
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
•    Open to give and receive constructive feedback. 
•    Good workload management and organisation skills. 
•    Confident in hosting meetings and presentation skills. 

Technical/General Competencies
•    Primavera P6, Microsoft Project
•    Microsoft Excel (Advanced user)
•    Data analysis
•    Developing and using KPIs

Nice to have: 
•    Planning qualification and/or experience
•    Subsea Construction planning
•    Good knowledge and experience of Operations/Manufacturing activities
•    Good knowledge and experience of Energy industry
•    Good knowledge and experience of Planning
•    Advanced SAP Planning systems & transactions skills preferred
•    Desired APICS CPIM Certification
•    Experience of Subsea industry preferred.
•    Experience and / or Certifications in Lean Six Sigma preferred
•    Technical background a plus.
•    Utilizes systemic thinking to solve cross functional system level problems utilizing preventative measures.
