Job Description

POSITION DUTIES:

 

  1. Tax Compliance
  • Managing and overseeing the filling of regular tax returns timely, including Corporate Income Tax & GST for both TFMC local and TFMC foreign companies
  • Review tax audit returns as part of Statutory audit
  • Ensure that the business complies with periodic tax payments and other tax authority requirements
  • Preparation of quarterly advance tax payments
  • Coordinate and manage both direct & indirect tax audits, inquiries and notices from tax authorities
  • Assist & managed local transfer pricing documentations
  • Foster a culture of tax compliance and awareness throughout the organization, providing training and support as needed
  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations in India for both direct & indirect taxes and proactively identify potential risks or opportunities for the organization
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of taxes to provide expert advice on tax planning and optimization opportunities to ensure compliance with local regulations
  • Maintain good working relationship cross departments and collaborate effectively/efficiently with other departments such as finance, legal, operations, stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination on tax matters
  • Act as key point of contact and support for all PAN Indian tax matters
  • Hands on experience on SEZ & MOOWR compliances and process

 

 

 

  1. Tax Accounting and Reporting
  • Participate in tax provisioning process (local GAAP to tax as well as local GAAP to IFRS and US GAAP)
  • Review and coordinate reporting under ASC 740 (US GAAP accounting for income taxes)
  • Coordinate group tax reporting for US SOX purposes
  • Review and control data input in the group tax reporting tool (CorpTax)
  • Review/ Prepare TBBS

 

  1. Tender Support/Project Execution/Tax Planning

 

  • Assist regional tax senior manager to provide tender and bid support to Subsea and Surface operations, including contract review and advice on tax efficient contract structuring
  • Advise business units on relevant project tax costs and risks (e.g., direct taxes, indirect taxes, etc.) for project planning and financial evaluation
  • Following the successful award of tenders to the company, provide ongoing tax support to operations teams during project execution phase
  • Lead in the analysis and resolution of all complex tax issues impacting TFMC’s business in India
  • Keep abreast of changes and amendments to tax laws (Direct & Indirect), conduct tax research and advise TFMC or business unit on how to comply with regulations and maximize tax benefits
  • Advise on ad-hoc business transactions and tax treaty reliance to achieve tax efficiencies

You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution; Preferred degree in tax, business, finance, accounting, or economics
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in tax management, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment
  • Core direct tax or international tax knowledge & experience in leading and managing tax team
  • Familiarity with ERP environment
  • Experience in dealing with tax officials and managing tax matters
  • Strong accounting skills, ability to quickly understand the business, sensitivity to US GAAP/SOX environment
  • Previous supervision of professionals within a corporate tax department
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication, collaboration, process management, and organization skills, and international teamwork
  • Charter Accountant (“CA”), Certified Management Accountant (“CMA”) (or local country equivalent) or CA/CMA candidate preferred

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Spends 90% of time in office. Some Travel as necessary visiting TechnipFMC regional offices or locations

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Frequent sitting and operating a computer.  Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change.  Some travel due to role.
