Job Purpose

Provides technically complex engineering solutions in particularly challenging project environments in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures and processes, schedules and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.

Job Description

Working in a global capacity, within Core Technologies in Hyderabad, the Senior Welding Engineer will provide the whole organization with expert knowledge of all aspects of welding, including relevant techniques and their application as well as qualification of suppliers and their processes.
Responsible for all welding requirements including
- - R&D, Standardization, Specification development, Tendering, Product qualification, Project execution and Supplier support.
Work closely with Engineering, Sourcing and Supplier Quality - internally, regionally and globally
Take a Lead role in welding technical audits & Procedure Qualifications and ensuring welding requirements are developed with and fully understood by suppliers.
Take a Lead role in welding - related failure investigation and root cause analysis activities, ensuring they are managed, understood and resolved in a logical and timely manner.
Proactively work across the organization to identify, drive and lead welding related improvement projects and opportunities

You are meant for this job if:

• BS degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent with 5 to 10 years of experience in the field • Strong technical skills in engineering • Strong project management skills • Good presentation and coaching skills • Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills • Understanding customer requirements and ability to translate them into product specifications • Excellent command of English

Additional Skills

Essential:

Experience in a technical special process-related engineering role.

Good understanding of all International Welding codes and standards, Like ISO, EN, AWS, ASME, NORSOK, API, DNV etc..

Experienced in Cladding (CRA), Buttering , Pressure Containing, Structural, Piping & Tubing Welding processes.

Software packages - SAP, Microsoft Access, Project, Word, Excel and Power point Teamwork, open/flexible approach

Desirable:

International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification. Product Know edge.

HSE appreciation.
