Job Purpose

  • Will work in Qualification Test lab for Pressure and load testing of Subsea & Surface products per specified industry standards

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes and supports Product Qualification testing activities as Test Engineer.

  • Serves as a technical point of contact for assigned work package scope and as a focal point for all communications related to scope.

  • Develops Lab product/tool design, geometry standards documentation for product qualification requirements.

  • Creates, reviews and approves part reports, drawings, engineering specifications and standards.

  • Creates, reviews and approves the test reports (RPTs) to adhere to the customer requirements and internal standards

  • Closely works with quality engineer, product engineer, buyer, project manager and all associated stakeholders.

  • Supports and manage qualification project schedule and deliverables.

  • Provides management with technical assistance and work progress updates as requested.

  • Mentors and provides technical guidance to Technicians. Works collaboratively to accomplish project tasks. Provides independent review of work packages.

  • Mentors and provides technical guidance to junior test engineers and develops them into reviewers and approvers

  • Provides vendors technical assistance and builds strong working relationships.

  • Executes qualification per the requirements of industry code related to subsea production systems, TechnipFMC standards and client specifications, following the test procedures.

  • Adheres to all relevant safe work instructions and design guidelines, Clearly demonstrates creativity and innovation in finding solutions and alternatives for shop floor issues and troubleshooting

  • The role is responsible for executing activities assigned by the manager, and execute it with the assigned team.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Degreed Mechanical Engineer with at least 6/8-years of Engineering/qualification testing experience in the Subsea Production System engineering, reduced to 4/5-years for Masters candidates. 

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting qualification projects constrained by safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.

  • Experience in creating and reviewing Test procedures, test reports, documents, layouts, safety work plans and interpreting results of test.

  • Work experience to include experience with various ASME, API, NORSOK, and DNV Codes and Standards as it relates to subsea equipment design and manufacturing.

  • Exposure to various manufacturing processes - forging, hot and cold extrusion, cladding, HIP, induction bending etc

  • Exposure to welding codes and practices - ASME IX and API 1104.

  • Exposure to NDE codes and practices - UT, PAUT, PT, RT, MPI per ASME V.

  • Accuracy, dependability, ability to manage schedule and prioritize work for self and others in team.

  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a technical team - a self-motivated, self-starter.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with ability to effectively transfer subject matter expertise. Ability to coach and mentor others.
