Job Purpose

Takes accountability for deployment of HR processes and initiatives in the country.

Ensures correct and timely implementation of HR strategies and policies.

Guarantees compliance with all legal requirements in terms of local Labor Law, Taxation, and Social Security as well company established DOAs.

Partners with the business to develop P&C initiatives that are customer oriented, value adding and focused on enhancing overall employee experience.

Works in partnership with the wider P&C community, COEs and Shared Services

Job Description

This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy and will include the following: Working within the framework of corporate strategies and policy and developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that are in accordance with current legislation and eventual modifications.

Providing guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, practices, and employment legislation.

Working closely with Corporate and line managers to deliver HR priorities and projects

Leading change management initiatives and supporting HR related internal and external communication

Managing Industrial Relations, whilst ensuring implementation of best practices and adherence to local legislative requirements.

Bridging management and employee relations by addressing grievances and creating a safe and conducive work environment

Driving collaboration across all P&C functions in country for an integrated approach to tackling business and employee’s needs.

Deploying CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives in line with Corporate ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) goals.

Budget planning and control for the HR function budget for Entity/Location.

You are meant for this job if:

Degree holder in Human Resource, Business Management/Administration or equivalent

Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience overseeing full spectrum of human resource activities, preferably a generalist

Worked in a matrix organization with the ability to lead without authority using influencing and collaborative skills.

Conflict management and exposure to coaching

Knowledge of Labor law, HR management methods and tools

Highly skilled in Microsoft Suite

Strong planning and organizational skills

Need to be customer- focused, with excellent client management and business literacy skills.

Excellent communications skills (listen, analyze, and influence people)

Fluent in English

Ability to ensure data confidentiality.

Work well under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.

Able to balance big picture thinking with being operational.
