Job Purpose

In line with Global Planning processes and local procedures, ensure effective end-to-end planning and scheduling support for the NMC (Non-Metallic Seals) product line, covering Sales Orders, Service Orders and Production Orders, to enable on-time delivery and timely execution across global NMC manufacturing locations.

The Planner is responsible for backlog analysis, forecast demand management and schedule reliability, balancing demand with available manufacturing capacity, and driving actions with cross-functional stakeholders to protect customer commitments and free cash flow.

Job Description

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

•    Own end-to-end delivery responsibility for the NMC product line, spanning award, engineering, planning, manufacturing, procurement and execution, covering both Make and Buy items.

•    Review and manage the global NMC demand profile, aligning demand with available manufacturing capacities across multiple plants in line with the established business and sourcing strategy.

•    Convert assigned purchase requisitions (as per Purchasing Group responsibility) into appropriate manufacturing plants to ensure optimal load balancing and timely execution.

•    Lead demand planning activities, including communicating schedule priorities, aligning required dates for business-critical orders and ensuring timely delivery creation for stock materials.

•    Proactively resolve schedule priority mismatches through expediting, order rescheduling and close coordination with manufacturing, procurement and project stakeholders.

•    Develop and manage the NMC product line by balancing supply and demand to meet customer requirements while optimizing shop capacity and inventory levels.

•    Maintain and govern plant material master data, including creation and updates based on approved business requests, ensuring planning and execution accuracy.

•    Drive daily delivery note creation aligned with customer need dates to support plant free cash flow and on-time shipments.

•    Conduct weekly material-on-hand reviews to identify shipment opportunities and improve inventory turns.

•    Create and manage Sales Orders and Purchase Requisitions related to the NMC product line in line with planning and execution needs.

•    Publish monthly lead times and pricing, incorporating current month exchange rates, to support commercial and planning decisions.

•    Provide 1-year rolling forecasts to vendors to enable timely raw material planning and procurement readiness.

•    Coordinate demand transfers between NMC plants to level load production, improve responsiveness and mitigate capacity constraints.

•    Prepare and maintain the annual budget file for the NMC product line as part of the financial planning cycle.

•    Maintain and update the Obeya board, tracking and publishing NMC KPIs to drive visibility, performance management and continuous improvement.

You are meant for this job if:

Qualifications (professional, technical, academic)
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Planning, Supply Chain.

Experience/Skills/Knowledge
•    Minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in Seals production or planning roles within a manufacturing environment.
•    A working knowledge of Manufacturing
•    Appreciation and understanding of the Engineering Execution Process (EEP)
•    Practical understanding of Engineering BOM’s and documents
•    Demonstrated ability to analyze trends or deviations from standards and recommend creative and unique cross functional solutions
•    Demonstrates an understanding of the communication process and ensures effectiveness (written, verbal and listening) across functional boundaries.
•    Prepares and delivers somewhat simple proposals and reports to planning audience.
•    Ability to work under pressure in a matrixed environment. 
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
•    Open to give and receive constructive feedback. 
•    Good workload management and organization skills. 
•    Confident in hosting meetings and presentation skills. 

Technical/General Competencies
•    Proficient in ERP
•    Microsoft Excel (Advanced user)
•    Data analysis
•    Developing and using KPIs

Additional Skills

•    Subsea Construction planning
•    Good knowledge and experience of Operations/Manufacturing activities
•    Good knowledge and experience of Energy industry
•    Good knowledge and experience of Planning
•    Advanced S4 Hana Planning systems & transactions skills preferred
•    Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
•    Desired APICS CPIM Certification
•    Desired PMP Certification
•    Experience of Subsea industry preferred.
•    Experience and / or Certifications in Lean Six Sigma preferred
•    Technical background a plus.
•    Utilizes systemic thinking to solve cross functional system level problems utilizing preventative measures.
