Job Purpose

  • To assist in the quality assurance and control processes by performing checks on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Vendor Defects, Improvement Quality Notifications (QNs), and Internal QNs.
  • This role ensures compliance with quality standards, maintains accurate records, and supports the continuous improvement of quality processes.
  • Work within existing systems & under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering (Mechanical)
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Shall have Engineering practices knowledge such as –  
  1. Engineering Drawing knowledge – read, understand, interpret various symbols associated with the manufacturing and measurement. (General Dimensioning and GD&T) 
  2. Manufacturing practices & associated defects knowledge 
  3. Special process such as welding, coating, Heat treatment, machining, NDE (Non-Destructive` Examination), and others. 
  • Good Communication skills (Verbal and Non-Verbal) – (required frequently to communicate with Global teams) 
  • Ability to grasp & understand technical details of various Products, Processes, and Improvements. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  1. Perform Quality checks on the NCR (Non-Conformance requests) requests received from Internal/External Stake holders.
  2. Communicate non-conformance findings to the internal & external stakeholders and record them in SAP/Intelex.
  3. Drives supplier/internal Non-conformances report creation/coordination/closure through SAP/Intelex.
  4. Track all the NCs (Non-Conformance) based on the categories, type of suppliers and participate in activities reducing the number of NCs.
  5. Backlog grooming for effective follow up on the priority and important NCRs. (Categorize – ATCO, OSTS & OSNO for actions).
  6. Update severity matrix based on the Performance, Schedule, and Cost as per the Global Guidelines.
  7. Using the SAP/ECM and database systems facilitates to make create or modify Quality notifications. Also to upload and download documents using the same SAP platform.
  8. Works with cross functionals teams like Supplier Quality, Procurement, Engineering, manufacturing & Project departments to communicate, expedite & resolve quality related problems.
  9. Track all approved and reject NCRs details for the continuous improvement.
