Job Purpose

This position will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of Teamcenter Document Control (DBA), Teamcenter and CAD support resources for India and the APAC region including Hyderabad, Singapore, KL, NJ, Perth and China. This position is responsible for maintaining continuous and timely release of ECN, Parts, Drawings, Documents and proper publication of engineering outputs to engineering web and the ERP system, primarily supporting engineers and designers working from these locations. The Hyderabad Teamcenter DBA's provide primary and backup support to all other Teamcenter sites as needed and agreed.

 

This role oversees and trains personnel that are responsible for maintaining and synchronizing data between multiple Teamcenter sites. The supervisor candidate must have the required technical and professional skills to effectively communicate and coordinate with peers in the engineering systems network, supervise assigned resources, and make effective and timely decisions with input from peers in the engineering systems network. The position requires expertise and the flexibility to backup supervised resources if/when required or to coordinate with other engineering systems team to cover the essential need while resources are out.

Job Description

•             Monitor and balance workload among supervised Teamcenter DBAs, Teamcenter and CAD support personnel.

•             Consults with supervised team to interpret and understand issues, apply expertise to create and recommend appropriate solutions or engage with engineering systems peer network to resolve issues.

•             Identifies and analyzes issues caused by operational changes required by the business unit and software patches and updates from Teamcenter and SAP.

•             Perform periodic performance discussions with supervised resources and complete all necessary P&C administrative tasks for these resources.

•             Ensures proper training for assigned resources and users within the site and regions being supported by the team.

•             Assists and advises engineers and designers on the topic of proper parts, model/drawing, and documentation construction.

•             Properly charge time in Labor Tracking System as required.  Approve PTO, etc.

•             Keep abreast of latest SAP and TCE software implementations.

You are meant for this job if:

Candidate will have demonstrated 1 year of experience in the Teamcenter DBA role, working knowledge of Teamcenter Parts, Models/Drawings, Documents, Foundation Specs, Quality Matrix, ECN, publishing and the TC/SAP interface.  Candidate will demonstrate exceptional computer skills including high proficiency with Microsoft Teams and O365 suite of tools.  Candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, and will demonstrate proactive engagement with peer network and supervised resources (team player), able to identify need for help and call for it when needed.
