Job Purpose

The Engineering Performance Analyst is responsible for analyzing the Engineering Performance data on a regular basis, detect trends, check for issues and issue warnings and recommendations to the One Engineering management, both at a global One Engineering level as at Project, Package or Sub-system level when required.

 

The overall purpose of the Engineering Performance Analyst is to contribute to improvement of the Engineering Performance. To achieve that to:

  • Analyze, understand and discuss key engineering performance indicators and associated trends (schedule, progress, on time delivery, manhours (actuals, budget and forecast), risk and quality).
  • Support Eng Performance Director in issuing guidance and recommendation for improvement of Eng Performance to OE LT.
  • Advise and guide PEM’s and PKM, SSLE in the management of the Engineering of Specific Projects or packages requiring support.
  • Defining and sharing best practices and lessons learned in the domain of Eng Performance Analysis across PEM, SSLE, Planning, Cost Control, PCM population across Subsea

Key Missions and Responsibilities

 

The responsibilities of the Engineering Performance Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform analysis of Engineering Management and Engineering Performance Data and KPI’s covering the following indicators:
    • Schedules and delivery according to schedule (base line or reforecast) or not (OTD/ ADL), Progress booked
    • Manhours and cost spent and comparison with budget, forecasts, EAC.
    • Link between Progress and manhours spent (e.g.
    • ECR and MOC affecting the engineering scope
    • Engineering or technical risks and relation to Value destruction
    • Quality or quality gaps of Engineering project deliverables
    • Other indicators as available and/or judged relevant
  • Integrate additional sources of data (e.g. technology maturity levels, project organizations etc..  to develop better prediction of risk indicators to allow prediction of deviation from target KPIs.
  • Develop and Analysis guidelines, best practices, check list to help SSLEs, PEMs, Eng Dept Managers to analysis the data on their projects and draw the right conclusions and issues. Both based on analysis of life projects and post mortem analysis of completed projects.
  • Work closely with “Eng Performance data programmers” to highlight data quality issues, additional data tracking and visualization needs, improvement opportunities. Guide them in development of adequate data gathering tools and visualization.
  • Work closely with Engineering Department managers, to support them on the analysis of the performance of their teams and in drawing learning from these analyses.
  • Work closely with project PEMs and SSLE, to support them on the analysis of the performance of their teams and in drawing learning from these analyses when requested to specific lay support a given project based on Eng Performance Director request.
  • Have good overall knowledge of the TechnipFMC Engineering Management and project control processes and evolution of those changes
  • Lead by example and demonstrate commitment to Safety and Quality through actively driving the correct behaviors (in line with Core Values)
  • Continuously keep updated regarding the latest evolutions in project engineering activities and targets and objectives 

 

You are meant for this job if:

Must have:

  • More than 10 years of Technical or Project experience, 8+ years in subsea
  • Good understanding of Engineering Activities on an iEPCI project
  • Detailed understanding of Project Controls process and data acquisition system
  • Good understanding of REMS organization and ways of working
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Power BI, Excel
  • Be able to establish deadlines and manage priorities for self and others.
  • Negotiate technical solutions with client. 

Recommended formal education:

  • Technical  or Economics/ Business degree  

Required personal skills:

  • Analytical skills and rigor
  • Interest in analytical work and working with numbers  
  • Good communication skills both with local and remote colleagues.
  • Ability to Work in teams
  • Good knowledge of English language, both verbally and written
  • Ability to work within a global environment

Performs well in a fast paced atmosphere, and constantly changing schedules and priorities.
