Job Purpose

This is structural engineer role and is based in Hyderabad. The role requires to design of subsea / offshore structures. Engineer creates, reviews & ensure compliance to technical specifications, functionality, and constructability.

Job Description

  • User / Creator in TCE (PLM tools) for technical documents and drawing packages released as deliverables.
  • Understanding & Ability to read Flow schematics.
  • Knowledge in using CAD tools (NX/ Inventor)
  • Ability to read drawings.
  • Knowledge in Geometric standards
  • Pressure piping design & Wall sizing calculations
  • Knowledge in Structure design fundamentals
  • Preparation of Functional Specification, Analysis report.
  • FEA Skills in Ansys or Abaqus - Linear Structure analysis
  • Understanding on Material selection, Welding process & application, Manufacturing process.
  • Use sound engineering judgment, classical hand calculations and analysis programs (FEA) to analyze designs and generate new designs.
  • Possess good understanding on engineering fundamentals with respect to structural design.

You are meant for this job if:

  • BE or MTech in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong technical basis in engineering
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant industry experience with background in mechanical component design
  • Knowledge of industry specific design codes like ASME, API, DNV, NORSK and ISO
  • Knowledge on pressure containment equipment design (Pressure Vessel design)
  • Must be able to verify and substantiate FEA results with classical hand calculation methods.
  • Hands on experience in using handcalcualtions in validating design (for Bolts & Welds)
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
