Automation Technology Engineer I for individuals passionate about automation, robotics, and industrial technology. You will work closely with senior engineers to support, maintain, and enhance automation systems across various industries.

Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of automation systems.
  • Support troubleshooting and maintenance of automated equipment and control systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize process automation and efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Conduct testing and validation of automation solutions.
  • Document technical processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in automation engineering.

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities (Competencies):

  • Experience with industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI-driven automation.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and software.
  • Basic understanding of automation systems, robotics, and industrial control technologies.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial networking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Travel and Other Requirements:

 

  • Up to 50% overall, at times heavier or lighter pendent on project schedules.
  • Frequent evening and/or early morning calls to support multiple global manufacturing locations.

Skills:

  • industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI-driven automation.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and software.
  • Basic programming knowledge and robot knowledge
