As a Tax Accountant you will support the North America Tax Director in all aspects of U.S. federal, international and state income tax, including compliance, planning, and audits with the goal of minimizing TechnipFMC's income tax and franchise tax liabilities.

Job Description

Prepare and analyze various book/tax adjustments necessary for preparation of the consolidated federal income tax return and state income/franchise tax returns.

Prepare various other analyses and filings for U.S. entities and non-U.S. entities including 5471s and 8858s. This consists of tax return preparation for subsidiaries and CFCs as well as project/planning work on an as needed basis.

Prepare or assist in the preparation of E&P and tax pools used on the filings of 5471s and 8858s.  Will need to interface with international teams to ensure the accurate completion and documentation of this task.

Provide analysis and support related to federal and state/local tax audits, including completing documentation requests and management of state tax audits.

Perform tax research regarding transactions, issues, and compliance with respect to federal, state, and local tax matters.

Provide analysis and support related to the calculation and reporting of federal and state tax provision and accruals for quarterly and annual SEC reporting purposes.

Basic Qualifications

Accounting Degree (CPA, Masters in Tax or Accounting strongly preferred)

2-4 years of tax experience preferred; mix of public accounting and/or industry experience is preferred

Broad exposure to federal, international, and state income tax compliance and research

Experienced tax software user (Corptax or similar)

Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills

Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and Word
