Job Purpose

Accountable and Responsible towards the FE&SE, Tender / Project Engineer manager of the delivery of Core Technology activities and Project deliverables (Materials selection, Corrosion Protection, Fabrication and NDE..) in the assigned project to fulfill requirements as defined in the Contract Documents for all One Engineering subsystems.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Supervise, delegate, follow up and control / monitor all materials engineering (Materials selection, Corrosion Protection, Fabrication and NDE) work from FE&SE up To EPCI/iEPCI.

Supervise Lead material project Engineer and Sub-System (SPS and SURF Materials Engineers on the project;

Distribution of information and transfer of know-how by running frequent project engineering meetings, ·

Support the Materials engineering team / individuals in work related to: o Follow-up of subcontractors including coordination with other project engineers, purchaser and/or contracts engineer, o Preparation of engineering documents, o Control of assumptions made in engineering work.

Co-ordinate with other Project Lead Engineers within the project where relevant.

Responsible to develop and get the Materials Discipline system documents approved by Customer as applicable:

  • Materials Selection and Corrosion Protection Philosophy
  • Cathodic Protection Design Report
  • Cathodic Protection Interface Report o Line pipe and Components Procurement Specification(s)
  • Line pipe Coating Procurement Specification(s)
  • Flexible and Umbilical Ancillaries Procurement specification
  • Compatibility Report (if required)

You are meant for this job if:

M. Sc. or equivalent within an Engineering or STEM discipline · Minimum 15 years of engineering experience from the oil and gas industry · Experience from the full delivery scope (SURF, SPS and Services) of iEPCI projects in TechnipFMC · Knowledgeable in Materials Selection and manufacturing processes for subsea equipment (related to TechnipFMC Scope of Work)

  • Skilled in leading though others, former experience in managing managers is an asset
  • Pro-active attitude and flexible mindset
  • Acute awareness of project timelines and the urgency necessary to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Skilled in technical negotiations with client/ suppliers
  • Good communicator with ability to motivate, inspire and build an engaged and competent team.
  • Expert skill in at least one TechnipFMC product area and knowledgeable in all TechnipFMC’s products and systems, customers, and sub-suppliers
  • Expert knowledgeable in how industry standards drive the materials selection, fabrication and intervention requirements.
  • Expert knowledgeable in how changes influence the total project execution and cost.
  • Well experienced in relevant engineering, business (BPMS) and Quality (QM) Processes and communication tools
  • Well experienced in working with other engineering disciplines and good understanding of processes related to communication of requirements.
  • Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. ·
  • Service/Customer oriented skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools.
