Job Purpose

Plans, manages, coordinates and closes out assigned projects typically consisting of the schedule, technical scope and financial performance of multiple projects in order to deliver a quality service, on-time, and to customer requirements. Typically, projects will have multiple, highly complex work scopes, and significant customer collaboration. This is an advanced role with the operations management organization which looks at life of field management including, but not limited to, understanding and implementing customer maintenance philosophies and pro-actively managing service resources.  Has an awareness of TechnipFMC’s portfolio of product and service solutions to customers’ arising needs.  Demonstrates leadership and the ability to work within a matrix team environment and contributes significantly to team performance.  Demonstrated behaviors focused on customer success.

Job Description

 

  • Act as the primary customer contact post-sale, building and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Provide project overviews and implement system interfaces.
  • Coordinate with senior management to establish and monitor project schedules and objectives.
  • Communicate project status and progress to the team and customers.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, approving expenditures and ensuring resource allocation.
  • Lead the Stage Gate Process and ensure implementation in all project phases.
  • Identify and manage strategic risks, interfacing with review committees.
  • Develop team charters, staffing plans, and organizational interfaces, monitoring performance and output quality.
  • Lead project strategy planning, including contracting, risk management, and project execution.
  • Manage and negotiate contract changes and variation orders.
  • Maintain project documentation, including issues and lessons learned.
  • Ensure project risks are managed throughout the lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement project closeout and commercial performance plans.
  • Conduct periodic financial reviews.

 

You are meant for this job if:

  • BA/BS Degree in related field or equivalent years of work experience required. 
  • Typically 8-10 years overall experience.
  • Must have demonstrated application of Project Management techniques and standards.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing and service processes.
  • Understanding of commercial terms and conditions.
  • Understanding of methods of cost control, risk management, project scheduling, and contract management.
  • Ability to implement product/project execution plans and clearly understand related policy and procedures.
  • Must have experience working on project teams meeting critical timelines in an effort to provide quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated abilities in Leadership and Team Building with the ability to motivate a diverse group of people to successfully complete team objectives.
  • Must have strong customer relations skills and ability interact with varying levels of management.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, internal and external negotiation, and planning skills.
  • Understanding of maintenance philosophies; understanding of offshore logistics; knowledge of subsea products; and understanding business management planning tools.
  • Proficient in relevant MS Office applications.  Proficient in scheduling and SAP software.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  Spends 75% of time in a temperature-controlled environment (office, airport, airplane).  Spends 25% of time in a field environment or in a subcontractors shop and may be exposed to possible hazards including high noise, heavy machinery and inclement weather.  Travels 5 - 25% of time and may include international travel.  Offshore travel may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Frequent sitting and operating a computer and meeting with customers.
