Duties:            
                                                
Responsibilities include: Performs procurement and subcontracts activities for assigned scopes of supply (highly complex or multiple categories of goods and/or services); Performs contract activities for supply chain partners, unique contracting strategies; Leads a team of buyers and/or acts as a lead on a project; Mentors buyers and subcontracts specialists and acts as consultant globally; Serves as technical expert in a purchasing domain or category; Creates and executes Subcontract Management Plan; Develops and negotiates complex contracts with subcontractors, suppliers and alliance partners; Establishes commercial and escalation models.

Requirements:

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Supply Chain Management or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Contract Specialist-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

 

  1. Experience negotiating complex legal contracts.
  2. Experience leading commercial strategic discussions to identify and mitigate risks.
  3. Experience preparing contract synopses, contract reviews, and contract obligations matrixes.
  4. Experience preparing, interfacing with involved functions, and negotiating claims against clients, joint-venture partners, and subcontractors.
  5. Experience preparing and reviewing proposals to instigate formal dispute resolution relating to Construction All Risk (CAR) insurance.
  6. Experience with Financial Forecasting, Tax Liabilities, and Administration of bank bonds.
  7. Experience mitigating contract, legal, commercial, and insurance issues related to subcontractors or major suppliers, with a particular focus to ensure flow down of Client contract terms to subcontractors.
  8. Experience managing claims/disputes with suppliers.
  9. Experience mentoring and coaching multi-functional teams in contracts and supplier relationship management.
