Job Purpose

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Communications – Subsea role is a pivotal in driving product awareness, adoption, and customer engagement through compelling storytelling and effective communication strategies. The Sr. Manager, Marketing Communications – Subsea will collaborate closely with product marketing and strategy, sales, and other communications teams to develop and execute integrated communication plans that align with overall business objectives.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sr. Manager, Marketing Communications - Subsea must be an orchestrator, ensuring all relevant groups collaborate on and execute a shared go-to-market strategy. The role will have primary or shared responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to bring products and solutions to market through effective launches and communication plans, including media outreach, social media campaigns, email marketing, and thought leadership content.
  • Guide, create and deliver compelling product messaging and content that communicates value to the market, resonates with target audiences and drives product adoption.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and sales teams to understand product features, benefits, and target market to develop effective communication strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product messaging and communication.
  • Gain and maintain Subsea business knowledge
  • Support VoC initiatives and programs
  • Foster customer loyalty, satisfaction, retention, and growth through customer marketing and advocacy
  • Collaborate with the communications operations team to measure and analyze the effectiveness of communications campaigns and provide insights for optimization.
  • Implement and refine programs to drive marketing impact, collaborating with demand generation teams, area communications teams, and enabling sales and partner teams
  • Guide or direct resources within other teams not under direct management control

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ten or more years of B2B technology marketing experience
  • A minimum of five to seven years in marketing or similar roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • Experience in the energy sector preferred
  • Knowledge of public relations and media relations best practices
  • Experience with content management systems and marketing automation platforms
  • Ability to provide examples of go-to-market strategies and programs for prior roles with the corresponding impact to revenue contribution
  • Experience in creating marketing campaigns — from developing the vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget
  • Experience in creating integrated content across all marketing channels: digital, social media, paid media, offline, and print
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively
  • Strong influencer skillset across a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability and the skillset to see the bigger picture as well as understanding the details of campaigns
  • Strong process management skills with the ability to self-motivate and prioritize efforts among multiple projects
  • Advisory and consultative skillset to provide guidance to our content authors and contributors
