Job Purpose
The Contracts Specialist / Senior Contract Specialist shall satisfactorily protect the contractual and commercial interest of the company in respect of the project in all of its activities and transactions, ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to. Also needs to pursue and maximize the commercial opportunities as well as issue project reports accurately that shall reflect the current commercial status of the project and the likely outcome at completion.
Job Description
- Strategic Contract Involvement Act as a key member of the project team, participating in strategic discussions to identify and mitigate contract risks.
- Contract Documentation and Governance Prepare and maintain comprehensive contract records, including synopses, reviews, obligations matrices and correspondence.
- Project Advisory and Execution Compliance Advise project leadership on deviations from contract terms during execution and manage key deliverables, milestones, payment certificates, and reporting obligations.
- Claims and Change Management Monitor project deliverables, identify risks and opportunities, and manage all contractual and commercial issues related to management of change.
- Insurance and Dispute Resolution Coordinate additional insurance requirements and ensure timely insurance coverage and certificates. Prepare and lead the process on all claims related to the project, including insurance claims, and assist in dispute resolution.
- Stakeholder and Supplier Management Support Subsea Global Sourcing & Procurement on subcontractor and supplier issues, including contractual flow-downs, negotiating deviations, disputes and any other legal issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Interface with cost control, tax, and finance teams to manage forecasting, tax implications, and guarantee instruments; administer bank bonds and parent company guarantees as needed.
- Project Reviews and Close-Out Participate in client meetings, project reviews, and contract close-out activities, ensuring all lessons learned are captured and shared within the Commercial and Legal functions for continuous improvement.

- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in pertinent discipline preferred.

- High standard of written and spoken English.
- Fluent in the English language
- PC skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, project, and presentation software.
