Senior Advisor Employee Relations and Compliance

Job Purpose
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations & Compliance and is based in Houston, TX. Part of the North America People & Culture team, the Employee Relations & Compliance (ER&C) Advisor supports operations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and Guyana. The ER&C Advisor serves as the primary investigator for employee relations concerns that are reported through our Integrity Helpline and plays an impactful role in ensuring adherence to relevant labor laws and managing positive employee relations.
Job Description
- Assist in maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the HR Compliance & Employee Relations landscape in North America
- · Support the implementation of HR Compliance & Employee Relations initiatives, including training, policy alignment, and issue management.
- · Collaborate with the People & Culture and Legal teams on policy revisions and compliance strategies.
- · Monitor changes in legislation affecting HR policies, particularly in states like California and Colorado.
- · Contribute to Affirmative Action Planning and Drug Testing compliance across all business units.
- · Analyze trends in employee relations investigations and HR Audits to propose solutions.
- · Build and maintain relationships with direct manager, colleagues and business unit leaders as a subject matter expert.
- · Partner with Legal counsel to develop and submit required regulatory postings such as EEO-1.

- Hold an accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and have five (5) years of work-related human resources and employee relations experience.
- Have a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrate the ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Have knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines in the areas of employment, equal opportunity and affirmative action, and employee relations.
- Be knowledgeable of key government agencies in the HR compliance and employee relations domains, with the ability to educate internal teams on relevancy and make applicable recommendations (e.g., FMLA, ADAAA, OFCCP, DOL, EEOC).
Work Environment: Primarily office-environment with occasional shop or field environment exposure for policy development context and/or internal investigations.
Hybrid work schedule: 3 days on site in Houston, Texas; 2 days from home, optional.
Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and operating a computer or workstation. Occasional travel, primarily domestic, required up to 25% of time.
