Duties:                  

                                          
Act as the specialist technical lead within our drilling business. Responsible to train and develop engineers, review and approve documentation, ensure deliveries to clients are fully compliant to project requirements. Responsible to lead support for shop operations prior to well drilling activities (planning phase). Ensure proper planning and execution of post manufacturing services to our customers. Translate customer requirements into product specific specifications. Identify technology/product gaps in specifications. Responsible for safe, high quality, and on-time-delivery of assigned project deliverables assigned by project leaders. Identify and troubleshoot system issues. Hands-on labor in shop and/or field environment, which requires lifting, walking, stooping, bending, and some climbing. Attend internal and external meetings and serve as technical focal point for multiple projects. Develop solutions to problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating data. Anticipate potential problems and identify and proposed required preventive actions.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a subsea Drilling Shop/Installation/Design Engineer related occupation.
 
Position requires experience in the following:
  1. Experience with engineering standards such API 17D, API 6A, API 5DP etc. and design guidelines, assembly procedures and maintenance documentation. 
  2. Experience in drilling equipment and tools including Conductor Housings, Wellhead Housings, Casing Hangers, Submudline Equipment, Annulus Seal assemblies, Gas Mats, Bore Protectors, Wear Bushings, Lock Down Bushings and all related Running tools for open water in-riser installations and drilling/running operations. 
  3. Experience with drilling related tools including Drill Ahead Tool, Casing Hanger Running Tools, Conductor Housing Running Tools, Annulus Seal Assembly Running Tools to operate Subsea Wellhead equipment. 
  4. Experience with workshop related assembly, disassembly, stackup, buckup, and welding related operations.  
  5. Experience with authoring, and updating of maintenance, refurbishment, assembly, testing, storage and handling related documentation. 
  6. Experience with supporting installation such as offshore on-call support and troubleshooting. 
  7. Experience creating and reviewing assembly and testing instructions for system level integration, stackups.
  8. Experience providing technical guidance and troubleshooting for SDS product line and workshop assemblies, including: buck-up machines, lathes, phosphate coating tank.
