Job Purpose

This position will be responsible for effectively and proactively performing Project Control functions related to financial and cost forecasting analysis, risk and/or schedule and assists in the preparation of Project Controls activities to support the project or assignment. This position reports operationally to Project Controls Department Manager and indirectly to the Project Controls Manager. Overall responsibility for compliance of assigned projects with project controls and services standards - both from applicable contract documents and from project controls policies/guidelines.

Job Description

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships (Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, REMS) to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules aligned with execution strategy, including progress tracking and critical path analysis.
  • Implement and manage project control frameworks, including WBS, coding structures, metrics, and performance tracking.
  • Analyze project performance using earned value, productivity metrics, and risk analysis, providing actionable insights.
  • Maintain and update project control systems in line with established procedures and governance standards.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on schedule, cost forecasts, risks, and performance variances.
  • Monitor project performance against baseline (cost and schedule), identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support change management processes in compliance with contract requirements, including claims and change requests.
  • Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and lifecycle cost management.
  • Support project planning, reporting, and governance activities, including ERP system updates, risk management, and stakeholder communications.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Hands-on experience with automated cost and/or schedule management systems.
  • Proven track record supporting project controls across multiple projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in project controls or project management.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Solid understanding of Project Management and Project Controls methodologies (PMBOK preferred).
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and SAP (entry to intermediate level).
  • Strong ability to develop, interpret, and analyze project schedules and reporting outputs.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, with experience building detailed reports and data analysis tools.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across all levels.
