Job Purpose

This means we are the single focal point within the North American Service Center to build and maintain the relationship within our clients’ SURF & Wells organizations, to deliver operational excellence for the execution of our Well services (with the P/L responsibility), and to create differentiated new value to grow the business.

The Operations Manager is the single focal point for the delivery of Well Service Operations within the NAM Service Center, where Well Services comprises the Intervention and ROV value streams. Responsibilities include:

  • Service performance of Well Service Operations
  • Commercial and contractual performance of Well Service Operations within relevant client contract
  • Operational and financial planning, delivery, and execution with QHSES accountability

Job Description

  • Serves as the single point of contact for Well Service Operations within the NAM Service Center
  • Collaborates internally and externally with cross-functional teams to deliver value stream operations
  • Builds and maintains relationship with client and sub-contractors associated with value stream
  • Serves as the Operational leader for recovery efforts during field events 
  • Identifies and manages risks and opportunities (QHSES, commercial, & operational)
  • Facilitates value stream accountability to meet client and business objectives
  • Creates and reviews Cost, Time, and Resource (CTR) quotations for submittal to client/internal delegation of authority (DOA)
  • Provides input to NAM Service Center financial forecast
  • Supports Well Services contractual agreements, improvements, revisions, and negotiations
  • Identifies and supports Lean processes for the value stream (Gemba walks, Obeya participation etc.)
  • Supports root cause analysis (RCA) and drives to resolution
  • Documents lessons learned and implements learnings on future projects

You are meant for this job if:

  • 5-10 years of industry experience preferred, with at least three (3) years of experience in Commercial, Project Management, or Services operational role
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence
  • Strong commitment to client success, personal & team development, purposeful innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Confidence to make decisions in a fast paced operational and client facing environment
  • Established working relationships with Well or Asset teams within the Gulf of Mexico client base
  • Strong knowledge of P/L, cost control, planning, financial forecasting, quality assurance and onshore operations within the Houston Gremp Campus facility and offshore operations in the Gulf of Mexico
  • Must have advanced understanding of offshore operations and logistics, in depth knowledge of subsea products, and business management planning tools
  • Proficient in relevant MS Office applications. Proficient in scheduling and ERP (SAP) software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment with frequent trips to the shop and to other offices in the plant. Some exposure to possible shop hazards including high noise, heavy machinery, and shop traffic. Fast paced environment with repetitive transactions. Multiple priorities and constant change. Offsite and offshore travel may be required.
