Operations Assurance Specialist

Job Purpose
This position is a solid independent contributor able to complete more complex work without direct supervision. The Operations Assurance Specialist is critical in providing expertise to technical teams on new and reworked TechnipFMC products, equipment and tools. In this role, the incumbent’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: coordination of service operations executed by Technical Service Personnel, while acting as a technical referee to provide guidelines to less experienced planners and other functions.
Job Description
- Leads others in completing tasks in accordance with procedures and applicable codes and/or standards.
- Acts as Technical subject-matter expert or promotes liaison with the Technical Subject-Matter experts.
- Monitors the FlyWOCS competency gaps and provides competency plans for training and technical improvement.
- Manages and addresses client concerns regarding technical consistency, customer comments, requests and complaints.
- Facilitates the increase of operational complexity with multiple skids operating across vessels.
- Provides a single point of technical assurance across offshore execution.
- Drives core competencies for communication, teamwork, safety and customer focus.
- Coaches and mentors local content for offshore vessel operations.
- Defines competency and training plan to improve technical skills
- Oversees the communication of all quality issues and documentation (equipment and procedural defects) to Service Management.
- Serves as the on-site supervisor to the field service crew and for reporting back to Service management as needed.
- Assists periodically with the development of procedural requirements for current and future jobs.
- Functions as a mentor for the TSP and Installation Engineering teams within the following areas.
You are meant for this job if:
- High school diploma or equivalent technical diploma.
- 10+ years relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years experience with offshore installations as an Installation Engineer or Lead TSP with TechnipFMC.
- Direct FLWYOCS experience with FOX systems; Innova is acceptable. Fox experience is primary.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following fields: electrical; subsea equipment; hydraulics equipment; mechanical equipment and tools; structural steel.
- Able to read and understand electrohydraulic drawings.
- Demonstrated proficiency performing moderately complex calculations.
- Capable of understanding, troubleshooting, and explaining technical tools and instruments required to perform duties.
- Specifically related to FLYWOCS and FLYWOCS software systems.
- Knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted internal business processes and procedures.
- Aptitude to provide guidance to engineering teams related to efficiencies within written procedures.
- Experience leading people and processes, including personnel in offshore locations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to manage complex situations and bring problems to resolution.
