Job Purpose

Seeking a hard-working, dedicated and focused Health, Safety and Environmental professional to join our team. The position plays a critical role in promoting a positive safety culture as well as developing, implementing and administering effective health, safety and environmental programs across all aspects of the project.

Job Description

  • Promoting and supporting an HSE culture from within by leading the implementation of core HSE programs, policies, and initiatives.
  • Participate in incident investigations.
  • Assists with case management and/or following up on occupational injuries/illnesses.
  • Coaches with respect to Risk Assessments, at-risk activities, unsafe conditions, and safety improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain and administer the Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) Program.
  • Perform general and specialized office functions of a responsible and confidential nature. Requires some analysis and preparation of reports, letters etc.
  • Coordinate activities of safety personnel engaged in the prevention of industrial accidents and illnesses.
  • Ensure safety reporting, safety data and statistics are maintained in accordance with Company policy, OSHA, and other applicable government regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of safety, personnel protective equipment and first aid supplies.
  • Assist in coordination of each accident investigation.
  • HSELT- Record all MoM's organize meeting set up and lunch.
  • Supporting the HSE subsea team- coordinating travel, medical requirements, training, editing documents when required etc.
  • Creates and modifies HSE policies, processes, and procedures.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or other vocational degree) or at least five years of related SURF project operational experience or 5 years related HSE experience in SURF Projects.
  • Knowledge of Intelex, Power BI and Miro
  • Ability to identify deviations from standards.
  •  BCSP or internationally HSE accreditation (such as NEBOSH) preferred.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees and executives.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Strong Organizational Skills.
  • Proficient in applicable software applications including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Risk Assessment (Hazard Identification [HAZID] or Hazard Operability [HAZOP] studies.
  • Works in office environment approximately 75% of the time using standard office equipment.
  • Works in workshop and manufacturing environments 25% of the time, which involves moderate exposure to hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, noise levels, inclement weather, and shop machinery.
  • Must be able to obtain TWIC, BOSIET, and OGUK physical.
