Job Purpose
The Lead Installation Engineer has overall responsibility for the installation engineering activities within projects, tenders and studies. The Lead Installation Engineer is the key technical interface within the project, working alongside the Project Management Team, to deliver the installation engineering and ensure project requirements are met. The role shall involve internal interfacing with other disciplines to review the installability of TechnipFMC products, tooling and equipment, external interfacing with client for technical input/clarifications, and lead installation engineering activities across execution streams.
Job Description
Overall responsibility and accountability pertaining to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost for the readiness, preparation and execution of allocated installation engineering activities.
Foster a collaborative safety, quality and security culture across all tender and project phases through adopting correct HSES & Q behaviors, leading by example
Lead installation engineering tendering and FEED activities, coordinating between VSO and Non-VSO execution streams. Includes ITT review, CTR development and preparation of tender deliverables (schedule, method statements, MDR, risk register, materials lists, technical clarifications and qualifications), client and supplier interfacing.
Interpret and understand the main contract, identify variations and communicate to client, managing installation engineering queries and interface requests.
Responsible for Installation Engineering schedule, interfacing with planner for schedule updates aligning execution streams.
Lead and coordinate Engineering and Operational (constructability, risk assessments, and Readiness) Reviews providing an independent review and installation engineering technical focal point for the engineering and proposed methodologies.
Support Package Engineers & Global Sourcing and Procurement to develop installation related procurement plans. Appoint resources for RFQ/ITB technical input and technical bid evaluation reviews for temporary installation aids and equipment.
Support Installation Engineering Manager with team development and check-ins (including individual goals and objectives) through training, coaching and mentoring to the installation engineering team
You are meant for this job if:
Bachelor’s of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline
8+ Years experience in offshore installation engineering
Multidisciplinary project experience
Strong technical foundation in Subsea Umbilical’s, Risers, and Flowline (SURF), Subsea Production System (SPS) systems and vessel operations.
Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (e.g. DNV-ST-N001).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Projects).
Ability to manage multiple and/or complex work package(s).
