As a Intervention & Installations Lead you will play a pivotal role in leading and executing the design, development, and documentation of Tubing Hanger Running Assemblies (THRA) and Simplified Landing Strings (SLS). You'll collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs, provide tailored engineering solutions, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Additionally, you'll lead the development of specialty equipment, drive product improvement initiatives, and provide technical support during onshore/offshore operations.

Job Description

Services Installation and Intervention Engineers will engage across all phases of the business value stream for I&I engineering; Product Management, Product Line Maintenance and Engineering (PLM/PLE), FEED studies and tenders, project engineering execution, and services onshore & offshore technical support.

Responsibilities 

This position:

  • Leads and executes the subsystem, configuration, design, and documentation of Tubing Hanger Running Assemblies (THRA) and Simplified Landing Strings (SLS)
  • Collaborates with the customer and provides engineering solutions satisfying customer operations.
  • Leads the development of specialty equipment needed to support customer operations.
  • Ensures engineering deliverables are compliant with customer, industry, and Federal Regulations. 
  • Serves as the main point of contact for external clients engineering personnel and sub-contractors.  
  • Engages in technical strategy meetings to define the engineering scope of work for the projects.
  • Assist Technical Management in the development and design execution of strategic hardware.
  • Collaborates globally on product improvement and new product development opportunities.
  • Leads engineered solutions to improve underperforming THRA's and SLS's products.
  • Engineering point of contact for planned and unplanned technical support during onshore/offshore

Requirement:

  • BS Degree in engineering or equivalent with at least 8 years of experience in engineering or related fields as a minimum.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations is preferred.
  • Understanding of engineering principles, design methods & calculations.
  • Lean problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding customer requirements.
  • Ability to think and act independently on complex projects and issues.
  • Strong ability to transfer knowledge and expertise.
  • Independent learning for continuous professional development.
  • Strong influencer of diversity of thought.
  • Ability to lead and prepare applicable technical information.

Work Environment

 

  • Office based position with occasional trips offshore.
  • 80-85% office environment and 20-15% field (shop / onshore / offshore) environment. The office environment is a flexible working program with includes a minimum of 2 days in the office a week and 3 days maximum working from home.
  • Travel may be required to support mobilization, demobilization and offshore operations domestically and internationally.
  • Any offshore travel is optional and not a requirement to the role

 

Physical Demands

  • Frequent sitting and operating a computer when in the office. 
  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs / ladders while onboard the vessel and platforms, as well as exposure to sea conditions (vessel movement, summer heat, etc.)
