Job Purpose
Now Hiring, Indirect Regional Procurement Manager, that will be responsible for management of North America & Surface West Latin America regional indirect procurement function.
Through impactful cost management, innovative business solutions, and improved process efficiency, this role will enable the business to achieve outstanding operational and financial results.
This role will be responsible for leading and developing a regional team of sourcing & procurement professionals responsible for collaborating both regionally and globally to develop and implement regional category strategies requiring strong project management skills and the ability to influence others to effectively drive change in the company. Also responsible for regional team delivering contract negotiation and management, supplier relationship management, stakeholder engagement, management of category procurement activities, and building global leverage with strategic suppliers.
In this role, the regional procurement manager will be responsible for all indirect categories for the region as well as the execution of tactical procurement activities by the team. A key objective for this role is to further develop and stabilize the regional operating model for US, Canada, Mexico, Guyana, Suriname, Argentina, and Colombia including the organizational structure, process improvements and associated technology implementations. Another key success factor is building a deep understanding of regional operations and stakeholder needs with the aim to improve our regional category strategies alongside our internal customers. Finally, this role will play a critical part in the lean transformation journey of Indirect GSP, leading, coaching, and setting objectives for the regional team in order to achieve the value driven purpose while providing a framework for performance management, improvement management, and problem solving. Job Description
- Improve stakeholder relationships to become trusted business partner in developing and implementing sourcing strategies
- Establish KPIs for performance management and regional obeya
- Develop & coach team of direct reports (up to 10) by setting clear objectives
- Lead regional implementation of global IGSP initiatives (ex. No PO, No Pay; Ariba Guided Buying)
- Work across borders with other regional procurement managers to collaborate on a global scale to develop global sourcing strategies and share best practices where possible
- Further develop and stabilize the regional operating model for US, Canada, Mexico, Guyana, Suriname, Argentina, and Colombia
- Lead team to negotiate and implement regional contracts, with price lists where possible
- Evaluate new suppliers for complimentary service offerings to obtain missing competencies in existing supplier network
- Continue to develop governance and action plans as part of the Supplier Relationship Management program, to include quarterly business reviews, internal stakeholder meetings, building engagement plans, etc.
- Champion safety, quality, delivery, and cost with suppliers to ensure requirements are met on a consistent basis
- Evaluate, mitigate supply chain risk
- Work closely with all business units to integrate sourcing & procurement into the buying cycle early in the source to pay process
You are meant for this job if:
- At least 7-10 years of experience required in sourcing and procurement
- Self-directed, able to prioritize/manage a high level of issues and tasks, and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Very strong interpersonal skills. The ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, influence change, and to “open doors” are essential for success.
- Supplier contracting experience. Knowledge of key sections, common red line areas and reasonable fallback positions.
- Basic understanding of the financial cost structure associated with a supply chain.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Microsoft Suite proficiency: Outlook, Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, To Do, One Drive
Preferred Requirements:
- 10 years of procurement experience required, with at least 2 years of this in Indirect procurement.
- At least 2-3 years of experience managing a team of direct reports
- BA or BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or other related degree.
- ISM or APICS certification
- A proven track record of bringing transformational change to a portfolio of indirect spend, thus expanding Procurement’s impact on control, compliance, and cost reduction.
- Experience with supplier relationship management process
- Experience with indirect category management
