Duties:                                                             

Responsibilities include: The Global Network Engineer has responsibilities to maintain, upgrade and develop our global network infrastructure systems comprised of Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, Cisco Wireless Access Points, Cisco ISE, F5 BigIP, iPSK Manager, Cisco Catalyst Center, Broadcom Velocloud SD-WAN, Palo Alto Firewalls, Palo Alto Prisma, Microsoft Azure and MySQL Server, primarily focused on the Americas and our Global Fleet. In addition, participating and running projects to expand current systems or deploy new systems/locations and providing expert network support to all areas within the TechnipFMC Enterprise Network scope. This role internally interacts with Peers in Global IT organization and externally deals with External operators, service providers and suppliers. Responsible for all site network infrastructure including but not limited to: VPN’s, Riverbeds, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless, general LAN/WAN, VOIP. The Services in the scope are all Network topics with primary focus on the Americas and Global Fleet and Network special projects for all sites globally, when requested and agreed on/approved. Ensures proper delivery of services within scope to the clients. Evaluates new or innovative technologies and architectures within our network. Helps define network design for regional sites. Keeps network documentation for sites updated. Manages network changes/projects within regional scope. Manages Network device version upgrades. Produces reports, proposals, technical documentation and user guides as required and ensures other team members are fully trained in the procedures. Resolution of service desk requests as necessary. Riverbed management and troubleshooting where applicable. Troubleshooting major network and performance incidents. Troubleshooting network incidents within regional scope. May telecommute.

Requirements:                          

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Global Network Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:                   

  1. Experience with Enterprise Networking - Routing, Switching and Wireless.
  2. Experience with Software-Defined Wide Area Network and multi-hub interconnect architecture for a global company.
  3. Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco ISE and iPSK.
  4. Experience with advanced networking troubleshooting such as Packet captures, sniffing, netflow, and log analyzers.
  5. Experience with advanced Networking Protocols/Services such as BGP, OSPF, IPSec, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, NAT/PAT, SNMP, MPLS, VPLS, QoS, Multicast, STP, and Riverbeds.
  6. Experience with advanced security in firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA and Juniper) and security concepts.
  7. Experience in Linux Shell Script scripting.
