In this role, you will test, troubleshoot, and assemble complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies using proprietary software and tools. A high aptitude to diagnose and troubleshoot issues on local equipment and tooling is required.
Job Description

Assembles, tests, and installs products according to specifications.

Resolves all routine issues and most complex problems and questions independently utilizing critical thinking and troubleshooting skills and refers more complex issues to higher levels.

Performs diagnostic troubleshooting on failed electronic, hydraulic, or mechanical equipment of considerable difficulty with little to no guidance.

Learns to troubleshoot circuits using the appropriate test equipment, schematic drawings, and knowledge of electronics and hydraulics to determine where the failure is.

Works under minimal supervision and may adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.

Collects, records, and maintains quality records and required test documentation associated with receipt, in process, and final inspection including test reports, failed test reports, Quality Notifications (QN’s), and Service Notifications (SN’s) in a clear, accurate manner.

Practices safe work habits and good housekeeping, maintaining the work area clean and sorted and all tools in their proper place.

Comprehends all engineering specifications, schematics, service orders, test specifications, and other technical documents. Must have extensive knowledge of electrical and hydraulic circuitry.

Shows strong evidence of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and discrepancy identification.

Masters some advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment in area of expertise.

Performs diagnostic troubleshooting on failed electronic, hydraulic, or mechanical equipment of considerable difficulty with little to no guidance.
You are meant for this job if:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical, vocational, or military training or related experience preferred.

5+ years’ experience in Subsea Controls or a related field or environment with ability to assemble, test, install and train others on all product competencies.

High computer competency and working knowledge of SAP and Teamcenter Engineering.

Training and coursework in electrical wiring and termination and electronics preferred.

Must be proficient using hand tools and power tools.

Ability to operate Hydraulic Power Units, Overhead Cranes, Forklifts, Rigging, Torque wrenches, Torque gun.

High level exposure to hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Has good understanding of electronics and hydraulic equipment. Minimum of one year of electrical and hydraulic experience preferred.

Must possess mechanical aptitude.

Strong interpersonal skills. Highly motivated with a positive attitude. Must be able to coach and teach others for top performance. Assists with training and checking work of less experienced technicians.
