Job Purpose

Works independently on Mid Scope 50-100m Sub Sea Production Systems , Flexible and Small URF Projects under 10m with project team by reviewing project forecast, initializing budget reviews and works with teams by finalizing the initial budgets received from tender, identifying the proper Work Breakdown Structure and recommend the proper allocation with the team, participating in Estimate At Completion, assisting with items for client reporting, ensuring invoicing to client occurs within the contractual requirements, assist with Change Order requests, provide metrics for quarterly Project Management Reviews, enter data into Electronic Project Management Review system. In addition, working as support on Large and or Complex projects as needed. Participate in Standardization, Simplification, Industrialization initiatives for Finance True North.

Job Description

Project Cost Analysis & Controls

Perform detailed cost analysis to identify and explain variances (rate, quantity, time).
Track and follow up on PO closures for completed projects.
Ensure all actuals are accounted for and validate cost accuracy across WBS elements.

Project Initiation & Planning

Map tender (i2) data into WBS using the WBS dictionary and coordinate approvals with project teams.
Collaborate with senior/lead cost controllers for feedback and validation during project setup.

Staffing & Forecasting

Conduct quarterly meetings with PKM/PM to reforecast hours by WBS and ensure correct rates are applied.
Analyze staffing plan variances and ensure alignment with actuals and forecasts.

CSA & EAC Management

Participate in CSA meetings and verify budget and forecast consistency with latest EAC/ePMR.
Collaborate with project teams to validate EAC inputs and document reasons for cost variances.

Invoice & Financial Tracking

Maintain bi-weekly invoice registers and investigate changes in invoice dates.
Communicate invoice status updates to senior/lead cost controllers.

LOP Reporting

Distribute EAC totals across project timelines and submit reports on schedule.
Review LOP with project teams and analyze forecast vs. actual discrepancies.

SSI Process Development

Contribute to multiple SSI initiatives by attending planning and coordination meetings.
Research process issues, draft solutions, test implementations, and report progress to senior/lead stakeholders.

· Develop SSI (active member of the SSI team / (not just attendance)

· Project Accountability (Explain ‘why’ on cost variations, taking accountability for project margin deviation, standardization, reporting, meeting deadlines)

· Quality of Project reports (correct numbers in data given to projects, detail explanations of cost variations)

 

Achieving lvl 3: Consistent in the following:

· Master Detail – (dig into data to make associations, use multiple SAP reports to research cost variations)

· Master Assertiveness – (meet deadlines, push team, clarifying questions, reach out to find answers).

· Master the Project – (know basics of the products, know how equipment/staffing cost will hit the project, based on location, vendor, manufacturing)

· Master the Quality - (errors on reports, ensuring you are describing the cost correctly)

· Developing Saying NO – (NOT in a rude way, don’t say yes to everything
