Job Purpose

Compliance Counsel role will be filled by an experienced investigations professional. The successful candidate must have experience in conducting investigations of alleged violations of an organization’s Code of Business Conduct, policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. 

The Compliance Counsel is expected to demonstrate excellent judgement and commitment to integrity, which include adhering to TechnipFMC’s core values and foundational beliefs.

Job Description

  • Conduct and support internal investigations of varied scope, including gathering and reviewing data, interviewing witnesses and subjects, report writing and development of corrective action recommendations. 
  • Monitor the effective and timely completion of corrective actions and remediation resulting from investigations and escalate delays or inadequacies as needed to Legal Director, Investigations.
  • Develop and provide training on the investigative process and share best practices with the Investigations Round Table members and management. 
  • Help identify trends and lessons learned and communicate them in meaningful ways to the organization including the Compliance team, Board and management.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, best practices and regulatory requirements related to global internal investigations and compliance.
  • Work closely with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies and legal counsel, as necessary.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the United States
  • 8+ years of work experience of related experience. 
  • Fluency in English required; other languages not required but preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, influencing, negotiation, and mediation skills
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and draw valid conclusions.
  • Discretion and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
