Job Purpose
Develops and implements communications plans and materials for the effective delivery of information and corporate communications at Regional and Corporate level.
Job Description
Supports local Communication team on the development of internal communication materials. This position is responsible for supporting local leadership communications, campaigns and projects executed by the Corporate and North America Communications Team. This position reports directly to the Internal Communications Projects Manager.
Provides writing, editing and creative services for internal programs that increase employee engagement, support recruitment and retention, and strengthen employee relationships. Coordinates various communications projects, including Teams Live Events, print, photography, video/animations, interactive, the intranet, social media and presentations.
Main tasks
- Manage intranet content and administration, supporting various regional teams and functions.
- Support video recording on campus and provide event photography.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with various department leaders and their teams, as well as understand, evaluate and balance internal communication needs.
- Assist in the organization of Teams Live Events, including planning, execution, facilitation and hosting.
- Gather relevant stories for internal channels including corporate publications.
- Maintain digital signage in Houston and collaborate with other offices for message consistency.
Main Tasks
- The Internal Communications Specialist will support the Internal Communications team and report to the Internal Communications Projects Manager.
- The role will support multi-channel strategic and tactical communication plans and campaigns to increase employee awareness, engagement and buy in for corporate and regional programs.
- Collaborate, develop and execute engaging written, video and online content for various channels, including the intranet, emails, Viva Engage and digital signage.
- Maintain and execute communication and editorial calendars to ensure effective content management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or other similar field.
- 5 years of experience supporting internal communications programs.
- Experience with digital channels including email, intranets, digital platforms and social media.
- Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a large, culturally diverse environment.
- Effective computer skills (Microsoft Office and SharePoint).
- Knowledge of AP style.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
- Able to maintain and protect confidentiality.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Basic knowledge of photography and videography a plus.
