Job Purpose

Develop, execute and maintain a comprehensive category strategy at the global level for the assigned products scope. Implement and maintain the best supply chain to support the business.

Job Description

 

  • Responsible for multiple OEM sub-categories
  • Internal key interactions: Business, Sales, Product Line, Eng, Manufacturing
  • Must demonstrate ability to develop, improve and implement processes, policies and procedures that impacts the function.
  • Problem solving
  • Work in a matrix organization (other category leads, supplier quality engineers, subject matter experts, tactical buyers) across all TFMC locations.
  • Develop, execute and maintain a comprehensive category strategy capable of delivering results for assigned category at the global level.
  • Develop the best all-around Category supply base to meet current and future market and technology requirements
  • Provide guidelines for regional execution.
  • Provide tools and guidance for category team members to develop, execute and sustain specific supply chain strategies within the category.
  • Work with key stakeholders, including but not limited to, technology and applications engineering, sales & operations and projects to clearly identify key requirements for both the Category and respective BU
  • Continue to develop Category cost improvement strategies and targets for specific products. 
  • Develop, communicate and manage specific supplier improvement initiatives, especially cost reductions, engineering/specification changes to the specific category items, material quality improvements and delivery reliability improvement initiatives.

 

You are meant for this job if:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent. Formal education can be replaced by equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management/Sourcing/Procurement/Product Management
  • Proficiency in communication and negotiations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Frequent travel may be required.
