Job Purpose

The Business Software Lead is accountable for the business ownership, strategic direction and successful adoption of Ariba Sourcing (and other assigned applications).  This role serves as the primary liaison between Procurement, Sourcing and IT to ensure the assigned applications are designed, delivered, maintained and enhanced in scalable, complaint and value-driven manner. This role provides functional leadership for the application capabilities, proactively evaluates enhancement opportunities, maintain a software roadmap and ensures a cohesive end-to-end user journey across all application workflows. 

 

This role can be located in Houston, TX, Krakow (POL_Krakow), and Rio de Janeiro (BRA_RiodeJaneiro) 

Job Description

  • Acts as the business owner for Ariba Sourcing (and other assigned applications) 
  • Defines, maintains and executes the software roadmap aligned with company and functional strategies & objectives. 
  • Partners with key stakeholders to ensure software configurations support end-to-end business processes and user journeys. 
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for IT, translating business requirement into clear, action ale functional specifications. 
  • Oversees business software incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for assigned softwares. 
  • Establishes and tracks KPIs to measure user adoption, performance and business value realization. 
  • Collaborates closely with business teams and change management to enable successful deployments and sustained adoption.
  • Proactively evaluates enhancement opportunities and incorporates them into the evolving software roadmap. 
  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for software capabilities as they relate to supported business processes. 

You are meant for this job if:

  • • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  •  • 5 to 7 years of experience
  • • Strong functional knowledge of SAP Ariba Software including Sourcing
  •  • Proven ability to lead cross-function initiatives without direct authority
  •  • Excellent stakeholder communication, facilitation and executive presentation skills
