Job Purpose

This entry-level position emphasizes learning and skill application in designated areas of expertise. The role involves assembling and testing of low complexity mechanical assemblies, while also providing ongoing training for more advanced and complex assemblies.

Job Description

  • Work independently or in a team to install, test, and repair TechnipFMC products, ensuring no rig lost time and controlling expenses.
  • Ensure all equipment, service tooling, and spare parts are on location and ready by performing inventories and function-fit tasks before each job.
  • Record critical information (dimensions, weights, temperatures, pressures, flow rates) to ensure assemblies/systems meet design and procedure requirements; assist with product testing, running, and assembly procedures.
  • Complete tasks according to procedures and applicable codes/standards.
  • Prepare and complete safety-related documentation (Job Safety Analysis, incident reports, etc.) to enhance safety awareness and prevent accidents.
  • Keep the team and supervisor informed about the progress and status of work activities.
  • Work primarily in field environments, including offshore drilling and production platforms, land-based operational locations, and installation vessels.
  • Maintain TechnipFMC-owned assets while performing job duties.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Guyanese citizen, Vocational/Technical certificate, University degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the mechanical or electrical field.
  • Clear understanding of general math and ability to read, write, and comprehend English; ability to comprehend engineering and weld blueprints.
  • Proficient in using basic computer hardware and software.
  • Valid passport required.
  • Basic knowledge in one or more of the following fields: electrical, subsea equipment, hydraulics equipment, mechanical equipment and tools, structural steel.
  • Work Environment: Primarily field-based, including offshore and land-based drilling and production platforms, installation vessels, and international locations. Conditions vary with the elements (heat, cold, wet, etc.), high noise levels, and often dirty environments. Requires a varied schedule with extended hours.
  • Physical Demands: Highly physical, involving frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, climbing, and driving. Utilizes mechanical hand tools, manual wrenches, and various power tools driven by hydraulics, electronics, and pneumatics.
