Job Purpose

This position is a beginner level position where the employee is expected to be able to complete work with increasing independence. A Quality Engineer is a critical player in ensuring proper planning and execution of post-manufacturing services to our customers.  A Quality Engineer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to- providing Quality support / guidance to site team throughout the project lifecycle, promoting a Quality culture on the site, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of quality standards and systems, facilitating RCA/CARs to ensure completeness and adequacy of controls.

Job Description

  • Quality Leadership & Compliance: Leads quality audits, process verifications, and ensures follow-up actions. Also facilitates non-conformance reviews and field investigations including root cause analyses (RCAs).

  • Planning & Documentation: Develops and implements Quality Plans and Inspection/Test Plans, while also configuring and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Collaboration & Communication: Builds strong relationships with technicians, customers, and cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of quality and teamwork.

  • Performance Monitoring: Independently analyzes data, anticipates issues, and monitors KPIs to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.

  • Training & Standardization: Leads standardization and improvement projects, interprets and trains others on policies and procedures, and coordinates non-conformance documentation.

  • Initiative & Accountability: Takes proactive ownership of tasks, shares ideas and resources, and fosters trust and collaboration across teams.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Technical Expertise & Education
    This role is open only to Guyanese citizens with a BSc. in Engineering with a strong technical foundation. Experienced in Quality Management Systems (QMS), auditing, and capable of producing standard quality documentation.

  • Communication & Collaboration
    Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effectively facilitates and leads meetings to resolve both technical and non-technical issues. Works well in team settings and fosters constructive feedback.

  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented
    Independently analyzes data with high accuracy and attention to detail. Monitors KPIs and ensures performance visibility and compliance.

  • Adaptability & Initiative
    Self-driven and highly motivated, with the ability to adapt to unplanned events and independently manage work tasks to meet expectations.

    Maintains a customer service-oriented approach while promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement across projects and systems.

  • Digital Proficiency
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications, supporting efficient documentation and reporting
