Job Purpose
Job Description
The Production Control Planner manages and facilitates work orders in the Subsea Services workshop. The maintenance, modification, and repair work orders coordinated by the Production Control Planner serve to prepare equipment for customer use according to operational requirements and priority. The Production Control Planner develops tactical MMRS execution plans in support of forecasted and active Subsea Services projects. Planners perform all service order management functions including, but not limited to, sub-order creation, workshop capacity evaluation, workshop dispatching and scheduling, service notification/quality notification initiation and completion, third party service coordination, and some inventory analysis to ensure the project execution plan can be delivered according to customer requirements.
- Works with regular indirect supervision.
- Regularly interfaces with inventory management and warehouse department, engineering, workshop and project teams when making decisions requiring judgment or resolving issues requiring creative solutions.
- Frequent contact with Field Service Managers, Field Service Coordinators, Workshop Managers, Workshop Leads, Engineering, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and HSE.
- No direct reports.
- Perform accordingly to meet customer needs 24/7.
- Customer service focused with commitment and sense of urgency to ensure customer success.
- Collaboratively leads personnel to accomplish required task(s) across all functional teams.
- Identifies and elevates project risk (when necessary) to Onshore Operations Manager and Field Service Team.
Main Tasks
- Creates all Onshore Shop service orders and the management of those orders (i.e. dates, scheduling, tracking, shortages, status, SO review for compliance to requirements)
- Focuses on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture and initiatives.
- Supports process documentation and employees complying with TechnipFMC and/or Subsea Services specific approved procedures, processes, and standards.
- Monitors and manages procurement (dock to stock) to include but not limited to: shortage management and corrective action, pick requests, expediting, purchase requisitions for outside services
You are meant for this job if:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
- Generally, 3+ years of experience in field.
- Recognized as having thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted internal business processes and procedures.
- Ability to identify and solve functional issues and improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business challenges.
- Strong computer proficiency with applicable software applications in related field.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment is critical.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and coaching and respond appropriately.
- Must demonstrate ability to adapt and perform when faced with unplanned events.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment with frequent trips to the shop and to other offices in the plant. Some exposure to possible shop hazards including high noise, heavy machinery, and shop traffic.
40% working in office environment with extensive computer activity.
60% working in manufacturing environment, seeking status of operations in workshop.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent sitting and operating a computer. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. Some travel for organizational needs and vendor and/or client contact may be required.
