We are looking for a Learning Specialist!

We're seeking a proactive, enthusiastic Learning Specialist to lead and support various learning and development initiatives across our manufacturing operations in the UK. This role is key in supporting the business to ensure employees are trained, qualified and continuously developed to meet operational and safety standards.
The role will be based at our Dunfermline site, but will require regular travel to our Newcastle site and occasional travel to Portsmouth and Aberdeen.
Job Purpose
To partner with the business to ensure compliance, technical and engineering training is managed effectively and efficiently to improve individual and business performance. To drive standardisation across our sites, sharing best practices and leveraging digital tools to streamline learning processes.
This role will primarily support our manufacturing sites in Dunfermline, Newcastle and Portsmouth, and will be a key member of the UK Learning team.
Job Description
• To provide learning and development consultancy, coaching and support to managers and employees across the organisation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to standardise learning processes, tools and methodologies across the UK Learning Team.
• Partner with the business at each site to identify and share best practices in compliance training, driving standardisation across the sites.
• Support Subject Matter Experts in the business to design and deliver technical training.
• Manage relationships with external training providers.
• Partner with the Learning team in Hub India to ensure efficient and accurate processing of all learning & development administration support provided to the business.
• Lead on learning and development campaigns and projects as required.
• Network and collaborate with colleagues in the global Learning & Knowledge Management team to learn and share best practices.

Essential
• Experience of working within a manufacturing or engineering environment (either working directly in the business, or supporting from a training perspective)
• Knowledge of HSE regulations and training requirements within manufacturing
• Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and partner with the business
• A curiosity and desire to solve problems, improve processes and streamline ways of working
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring on time delivery
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools including Excel and Sharepoint
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies
• Analytical/critical-thinking mindset
Desirable
• Experience with Learning Management and Competency Assurance systems
• Experience supporting audits from a training and competence perspective
• An interest in digital learning technologies (including VR and AI) and Power Automate
