Job Purpose

Support the People & Culture agenda by establishing, maintaining, and driving effective policy, process, and governance practices. Contribute to manager and employee engagement with the people agenda by providing sound advice, guidance, and coaching. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and personal development, while embracing corporate initiatives and supporting their effective implementation.

Job Description

  • Maintain a strong understanding of short, medium and long-term business requirements, ensuring People & Culture activities are aligned with local business needs and corporate HR objectives.
  • Determine and implement appropriate People & Culture solutions that support business improvement, employee engagement, operational effectiveness and consistent people management practices.
  • Provide sound advice, guidance and coaching to managers and employees on employment matters, including policy interpretation, employment practices, legislation, disciplinary matters and capability processes.
  • Encourage, support and coach managers to take accountability for the effective management of their people, demonstrating best practice and adding value to the business.
  • Develop, maintain and support the implementation of People & Culture policies, procedures and governance frameworks to ensure compliance, consistency and alignment with business and corporate requirements.
  • Support international mobility activities, including the application of relevant policies and coordination of international assignment requirements in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partners and People & Culture teams to support the effective delivery of HR projects, corporate initiatives and operational priorities.
  • Partner with Shared Services to ensure accurate, efficient and smooth processing of employee administration, documentation and related People & Culture transactions.
  • Support effective recruitment and selection practices by promoting behavioral competency-based interviewing.
  • Collaboration with the GRO team, ensuring compliance with government requirements.

  1. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/FORMAL EDUCATION:
  • Recognised certificate in Business Administration

Work experience can compensate for lack of formal Education)

 

  1. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience in a HR function with exposure to the full employee life cycle.
  • Global organizational exposure (preferred)

 

  1. REQUIRED CERTIFICATE(S):
  • CIPD Level 5 certificate (not essential)

 

  1. REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
  • Strong communicator
  • Coaching and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build trust
  • Handle sensitive matters confidentially
  • Influence managers
  • Support employees professionally and objectively across multi-cultural environment

 

  1. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS AND/OR PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS:
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess symptoms, contribute to identifying root cause and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Good attention to detail in HR documentation, case management and employee records.
  • Confident using HR systems, Microsoft Office tools and reporting data to support HR activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on actions within required timelines
  • Ability to interpret policies and apply them consistently to practical people matters.
