Senior Project Quality Engineer

Job Purpose
Ensure customer requirements are respected all along the projects execution.
Interpret customer’s QA/QC requirements, negotiates an aligned solution then makes sure quotes, orders, and documentation submitted meet those requirements (Applicable codes and standards-API-PED-Norsok–customer specifications…).
Identify and managed quality, contractual and codes risk exposures
Establish QA/ QC documentation at time of quote and execution (QP, ITPs etc…), follow up with QA / QC department and/or vendors to make sure the requirements are met. Work closely with Project Manager(s) and procurement function.
Be the focal point of contact for customer and vendors during project execution. Participates to QA meetings with customers. Participate to the customer reception/inspection of the equipment at vendors or TechnipFMC locations.
Actively assists in managing concession request resolution and takes steps to enable future prevention
Provides support and expertise on QA / QC to the project group during quote and order entry processes.
Coordinate customer audits and inspections mandated by customer.
Ensure there is consistency between vendors and customer document lists.
Job Description
At time of quotation analyses customer QA QC requirements and establish Quality Test Plans to meet those requirements.
At time of quotation interfaces with Project Group to make sure the quote met the customer QA QC requirement. Make sure the cost of these requirement are included in the proposed prices Communicates information to appropriate parties and works closely with Project group and MFT to provide the best possible answer to tenders.
Participate to the pre qualification meetings or pre manufacturing meeting with customers when appropriate, prepares and makes QA QC presentations focusing on value to customer.
Acts as a liaison between the Project Group and the customer to clarify issues regarding the needs and expectations of the customer about QA QC .
Ensure the project documentation is consistent.
Acts as a liaison between the Project Group and the rest of the organization/vendors to clarify issues regarding the needs and expectations of the customer about QA QC.
Keeps abreast of new international standards, API, ISO, PED and other specifications, and industry trends, communicates new information to FMC Technologies colleagues.
Be the owner of the FNCR and Concessions request for the Project group.
Participate to the customer inspection if needed, and make sure we maintain good relationship with all the TPI and customer’s representatives .
You are meant for this job if:
BS Degree in Engineering or QA QC (or equivalent).
Five years’ minimum of work experience in Engineering or QC department, ideally in EPC company working on Subsea or Surface systems or at least in the Petroleum Sector.
Flexibility and autonomy to adapt to variable workload.
Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiating, and writing and presentation skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.
Some understanding of internal economic factors (cost, margins, profit impact of decisions) affecting assignment areas.
Must be proficient in use of CAD and Database systems related to Engineering and QA QC functions. PC skills with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project and Internet access software.
Shows evidence of good organization and project planning skills.
Skills or qualification in QC areas such as welding or NDT are a plus.
