Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring business-related supply through the management of the transportation of materials, goods, and products (including import and export) to ensure they are in the right place, on time, with the required quality, and in the most economical way possible, without compromising safety.
Responsible for coordinating all transportation issues within the organization to supply the Açu plant. This includes managing budgets, organizing schedules and routes, ensuring vehicles are safe and meet legal requirements, and ensuring drivers are aware of their obligations.

Job Description

  • Coordinate logistics operations in liaison with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transport companies, and customers.
  • Implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
  • Provide solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within the plant's budget requirements.
  • Monitor the quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs for the Açu facilities.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with transport and logistics providers.
  • Recommend optimal transportation methods, routes, or frequencies.
  • Select carriers/providers and monitor service according to performance criteria.
  • Ensure carriers comply with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
  • Resolve issues related to transportation, logistics systems, import/export, or customer problems.
  • Review the impact of logistics changes, such as routes, shipping modes, product volumes, or carriers, and report results to relevant parties.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Identify savings through the elimination of waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process.
  • Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to assist with customer service and cost improvement.
  • Ensure that metrics, reports, and process documentation are available.

• Bachelor's degree Administration, Engineering, Logistics, International Relations or similar

• Fluent English

• SAP, Oracle, Power BI

• Professional resides in Campos dos Goytacazes or nearby cities, or is willing to relocate to the region
