Job Description

Main responsibility: Lead the work of Workshop Technicians, in either our Vessel-, or Rig-, Department, and ensure that production and performance commitments are fulfilled.

Tasks:

  • Act as a role model to inspire a team of engaged workers
  • Together with Team Lead, take initiative to create a positive and motivating work environment and culture within the team
  • Ensure adherence to published schedules and delivery requirements - determine manufacturing priorities and update weekly plans, together with the workshop team
  • Actively participate in project meetings
  • Oversee efficient work flow, and drive 5S and Lean Thinking processes -  safe and positive implementation of improvements in cooperation with the team
  • Interpret specifications and make sound judgments related to production processes
  • Coordinate and optimize workshop activities; including providing technical support, and the intervention of support services (maintenance, quality, methods, etc.) as needed
  • Ensure that quality and HSE is adhered to, and implement departmental safety programs when required
  • Follow up day-to-day tasks - attendance, time schedulling and procedures

  • Are able to coordinate multiple large scale projects in parallell, and act as a stakeholder - sound decision making
