Job Purpose

  • inspect TechnipFMC products received from other TechnipFMC plant and vendors,
  • Perform QC Inspection during manufacturing process as per the DBI.

Job Description

  • Ensure correctness and completeness of all Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs) before storage.
  • Guarantee timely notification (NOI) to customer QC for equipment inspection prior to VMI storage.
  • Maintain accurate SAP records post-QC operations, including nonconformance entries.
  • Ensure inspection outcomes are properly documented and uploaded to the server.
  • Uphold quality standards by performing assessments on incoming and outgoing equipment.
  • Validate product compliance by measuring dimensions and comparing against specifications.
  • Ensure stage inspections are completed as per job requirements (e.g., NDT, hardness, coating).
  • Confirm interpretation of machine drawings aligns with actual component specifications.
  • Support Third Party Inspection (TPI) activities within facility or supplier premises.
  • Maintain traceability and integrity of quality documentation (MTCs, supplier records, MRBs).
  • Drive continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to production processes.
  • Ensure customer quality requirements are reviewed and clarified for effective execution

    These are the tasks and duties the role performs to fulfill the accountabilities.

    • Retrieve MRBs and verify their accuracy before storing.
    • Send NOI to customer QC for pre-storage inspection under VMI.
    • Perform SAP transactions after QC operations.
    • Complete detailed inspection reports and performance records.
    • Compile and upload reports to the server.
    • Review MTCs, supplier records, and applicable MRBs.
    • Record nonconformances in SAP.
    • Conduct quality assessments on incoming/outgoing equipment.
    • Measure product dimensions and verify functionality.
    • Perform stage inspections including whenever applicable and when authorized to:
      • Dimensional checks
      • NDT (MPI, LP, UT)
      • Hardness tests
      • Visual inspections
      • Light band and thread inspections
      • Coating Inspections
    • Interpret machine drawings and compare with actual components.
    • Assist TPI at internal or supplier facilities.
    • Visit customer sites for equipment inspection.
    • Recommend process improvements for quality control.
    Review customer quality requirements and seek clarifications/exceptions when needed.

You are meant for this job if:

 

  1. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/FORMAL EDUCATION:
    • Degree or Diploma in Engineering.

Work experience can compensate for lack of formal Education)

 

  1. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum 7 years working experience in Quality Control. (Oil and Gas industry preferred)

 

  1. REQUIRED CERTIFICATE(S):

PREFERRED (Not Mandatory):

    • ASNT Level 2 or equivalent.
    • Welding inspection certification.
    • Qualified Thread Inspector
    • NACE CIP Level 2 or Equivalent

 

  1. REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
    • Good communication knowledge
    • Operational computer knowledge

 

  1. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS AND/OR PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS:
    • NDT inspection knowledge
    • Other inspection knowledge preferred like Thread inspection, Coating inspection and dimensional inspection.
