Field Service Technician (UAE National)

Job Purpose
Supports the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of new and reworked TechnipFMC products, equipment, and tools.
The role includes participation in a 36‑month structured rotational on‑the‑job training program designed to build technical capability, safety awareness, and real operational exposure, preparing candidates to become field‑ and workshop‑ready Field Service Technicians.
Job Description
- Supports the installation, testing, and repair of new and reworked TechnipFMC products (equipment and tools) under supervision
- Assists in ensuring all equipment, service tooling, and spare parts are available, inspected, and fit for purpose prior to job execution by performing inventories and basic functional checks
- Records and documents critical technical information such as dimensions, weights, temperatures, pressures, and flow rates
- Assists with product testing, equipment running, and, where applicable, assembly activities in accordance with approved procedures
- Provides project support as required, including assistance during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT)
- Prepares, completes, and maintains safety‑related documentation, strictly adhering to TechnipFMC Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards
- Actively pursues safe work practices and complies with all company processes, procedures, and systems
- Participates fully in the rotational development program, demonstrating strong engagement, discipline, and commitment to learning
- Performance, technical competence, attendance, and workplace behavior will be regularly evaluated and formally assessed
Structured Rotational On‑the‑Job Training (36 Months)
The FST I will be placed on a 36‑month rotational on‑the‑job training program, gaining hands‑on exposure across multiple TechnipFMC functions, including:
- Field Services
- Manufacturing (A&T)
- Operations
- Engineering
- MMR (Maintenance, Modification & Repair)
- Quality
The program focuses on:
- Practical technical skills development
- Strong safety culture and compliance
- Real operational and field exposure
- Preparing candidates to perform independently in an FST role
Progression is subject to performance reviews, competency assessments, attendance, and discipline monitoring throughout the program.
You are meant for this job if:
- High school diploma or technical diploma (engineering or technical discipline preferred)
- UAE National (Family Book required)
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1–2 years of experience
- Basic knowledge or interest in one or more of the following areas:
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical equipment and tools
- Hydraulics equipment
- Subsea or oil & gas equipment
- Structural steel
- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings
- Ability to use or learn to use technical tools and instruments
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical and professional skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic analytical and problem‑solving ability
- Ability to follow defined processes, procedures, and systems
