Job Purpose
Responsible for monthly and quarterly financial reporting submissions, ensuring timely delivery of all relevant schedules, appendices, and supporting documentation.
Lead statutory filings and compliance for the following jurisdictions:
UAE – Two legal entities (audit and tax)
Qatar – Permanent Establishment (PE) audit and tax
Oman – PE audit and tax
Kuwait – Tax filings
UAE – ICV certification for two legal entities
Kurdistan – One legal entity (audit and tax)
Job Description
- Manage payroll processing (cash out) and ensure accurate posting of payroll entries in SAP.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Business Services (GBS) team to resolve challenges related to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL). Provide guidance during business transitions and process changes.
- Drive cash collection initiatives by setting collection targets, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and improving AR performance.
- Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations for locally held scope.
- Participate in the monthly forecasting cycle and ensure accurate forecast uploads into the designated reporting systems.
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial flash reports with insightful commentary comparing actuals versus forecast.
- Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely responses and resolution of audit queries.
- Actively contribute to SSI (Simplify, Standardize, and Industrialize) initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and deliver measurable value.
- Serve as a key stakeholder in the ONE ERP implementation, providing functional expertise and driving successful adoption.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements across all entities.
- Lead process improvement projects within the finance function, focusing on automation, accuracy, and scalability.
- Mentor and develop other finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and performance excellence.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Operations to ensure alignment on financial matters and strategic initiatives.
You are meant for this job if:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with SAP FICO and MM modules.
- Proven experience in preparing and finalizing statutory accounts and tax returns, preferably in collaboration with Big Four accounting firms.
- 1–2 years of experience with Oracle Hyperion or similar financial consolidation/reporting tools.
- Demonstrated success in fast-paced, dynamic business environments.
- Strong track record of driving change, implementing cost-saving initiatives, and improving financial processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
